OMA Members Urged to Support Organ Donation Awareness Campaign

Trillium Gift of Life Network and OMA partner to promote importance of organ and tissue donation

On August 29, Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN) launched a celebrity poster campaign with the support of the Ontario Medical Association, Ontario Hospital Association, and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.

The campaign encourages family members to speak to one another about organ donation, and to sign their organ donor card.

OMA President Dr. David Bach addressed the press conference to launch the campaign, which was held at the OMA office in Toronto.

There are 27 TGLN celebrity posters in all, featuring a variety of well-known Canadians. A double-sided poster created specifically for, and included with, the September 2006 issue of the Ontario Medical Review, features a group photo on one side, and actor Colin Mochrie on the reverse.
