Cellular Phone Use and Driving: A Dangerous Combination pdf
In keeping with the OMA’s commitment to improving public safety, the Association has prepared a report that examines the issue of cellular phone use and driving. While in many circumstances cellphones can serve as a safety mechanism, the research clearly shows that speaking on a phone while driving leads to a deterioration in driving performance measures and a much greater risk of collision. The OMA is urging the provincial government to take action to protect drivers and passengers, and reduce the risk of accident, injury and death on Ontario roadways.
