Member Relations

The Member Relations Unit acts as the link between grassroots physicians and OMA elected representatives and staff.

The Member Relations Unit stresses how important it is for physicians to get involved at the grassroots level and provides ideas and critical support on how to effectively communicate and organize in their local communities. We continue to actively work with branch societies assist them with local initiatives such as press conferences, public awareness campaigns, stakeholder relations and leadership training. Member Relations strives to provide grassroots physicians with the tools necessary to effect change. The Member Relations Unit encompasses the student relations department, the mentorship program, the Member OutReach program, and the inquiry service.
