As a resident in child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. Alvin Keng is breaking down barriers to understanding mental health issues by bringing academic research to the public.

Dr. Alvin Keng is a child and adolescent psychiatry resident at the University of Toronto. His medical interests include consultation-liaison psychiatry, psycho-oncology and neuropsychiatry. He has given several talks on many topics including depression and anxiety, childhood ADHD, what to expect when seeing a therapist and taking psychiatric medications.

After he completes his residency in 2021, Dr. Keng plans to keep breaking down the barriers between academic institutions and the public on mental health issues.
