Dr. Shawn Mondoux

Dr. Mondoux is an emergency physician whose academic and clinical interests are in the application of quality improvement methodology to patient care in the emergency department.

Dr. Shawn Mondoux is the quality and safety lead in the emergency department at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. He is also the Disruptive Innovation co-lead and involved in the critical incident review process at the hospital. Dr. Mondoux is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at McMaster University and has several other roles with local, provincial and national academic and leadership committees. 

Dr. Mondoux started his postgraduate education training in aerospace engineering and then completed his medical training in French at the University of Ottawa. He then completed his emergency medicine training at the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada and the University of Ottawa. During his fellowship, Dr. Mondoux pursued a master’s degree in quality improvement and patient safety at the University of Toronto.
