Dr. A. Norman Lofchy passed away at age 92, on July 14, 2021, in Toronto.
After graduating with honours from University of Toronto medical school in 1954, Norman completed two years of internship, including a year of internal medicine at Toronto General Hospital.
He joined the Albany Medical Clinic in 1956 as one of the early partners, where he practiced as a family physician in Toronto until his retirement in 2010 at the age of 81.
He was a much-respected physician, mentor and role model to his three physician children (Jodi 8T4, Neal 8T6, Beth 9T1) and patients and colleagues alike. Norm took great pleasure in his numerous interests, including sailing, skiing, wine-tasting, bridge, travel and was an inveterate lifelong learner.
