Dr. Keith MacLeod died Sunday, May 16, 2021, following a prolonged illness.
Son of the late James C. and Flora Macleod, he was predeceased by his brother Dr. Kenneth MacLeod (1993) (Phyllis). A graduate of Walkerville Collegiate and Queen’s University Medical School, Dr. MacLeod practiced in Windsor for 40 years as an obstetrician-gynecologist with his medical partner Dr. John Fry. He served as chief of ob-gyn at Hotel Dieu, Metropolitan and Windsor Regional Hospitals.
A past president of the Essex County Medical Society, he also served on many committees locally, provincially, and internationally, including the Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the Advisory Committee on Reproductive Care to the Minister of Health (Ontario) and the Committee of Gynecologic Practice at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In recognition of his service, he was given a Life Membership from the OMA and CMA and awarded the Life Achievement Award from the Ontario Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2010.
He is survived by his dear wife of 61 years, Lorraine, his children Jamie, Jennifer Branton (Tom) and David, as well as five well-loved grandchildren.
