Nabil was a beloved and respected family doctor who practiced in his private clinic in downtown Ottawa for forty years. His many patients, colleagues, and friends attest to his vast knowledge of medicine, his kind personality, patience, and politeness. He was a real gentleman. His deep knowledge of Egyptian history and his fluency in the Arabic, French, and English languages were admirable. He loved travelling, nature, animals, and spending time enjoying sunsets and wildlife at Andrew Haydon Park.
In addition to having a keen mind for science, he was also adventurous and took up flying lessons. He loved sailing, and was a member of the Britannia Yacht Club, where he enjoyed spending weekends with some of his friends and sailing his cherished boat that he named "The Blue Nile".
