Below are a few submissions from your OMA colleagues about the OMA Advantages program.
OMA advantages provide good deals on various activities in the USA. Similar activities, particularly family activities or winter activities in Canada would be welcome!
OMA Advantages Program currently offers discounts on a number of Toronto centric family activities including Ripley’s Aquarium, Ontario Science Centre, Royal Ontario Museum, Canada’s Wonderland and more. Discounts for Tremblant activities in Quebec are also available. We are currently researching entertainment and family activities outside of the GTA and would welcome member suggestions.
In addition, members can find more savings with the Advantages Member Deals offering, which provides discounted tickets for sporting events, concerts and other major events in both the United States and Canada. The program continues to grow and we are always looking at new opportunities to bring more value to OMA members.
I use the OMA advantage program quite frequent. I get discounts when I fly with Porter, when I use VIA Rail, also for car rental, and I use the mobile discount as well. I would like to see more discounts in areas like CME (books, courses) and hotels.
Advantages currently offers CME Travel related offerings through CME Away by Sea Courses and Cruise Connections. Land-based travel has been added to the existing cruise selection. We will research expanding CME offerings to books and courses.
Local Hospitality is the latest addition to the hotel and car rental offerings. Members will find discounts on hotels and cars world-wide. Our Corporate Hotel Directory has been streamlined to offer only hotels with moderate to high usage as low member use results in lower discounts.
Would appreciate discounts relating to companies/products that are not as high end and more accessible to budget-conscious families. Eg Discount on Costco membership, 'Music Together' kids classes.
Member feedback is essential when considering new vendor offerings. As such, bringing value to budget-conscious families is high on the list of must haves. Discounts on grocery purchases is currently being investigated along with better wireless plans.
Local Hospitality and MemberDeals were added to the Advantages program to provide a full range of options and discounts (high end and low end) in the areas of hotels and car rentals, and entertainment. We have received good feedback from members.
I think that OMA offers great rewards, the hardest part is remembering to use OMA rewards at the time of booking something. It would be great to be prompted for these purchases, but I suppose that there is no incentive on the part of the vendor to do so. Regardless, when I remember to use my member offers, I'm quite pleased with the discounts.
An easy way to have the offers on hand is to download the OMA App to your mobile device, this way you can check the OMA Advantages program from anywhere. We have looked into incorporating some type of GPS notifications but at this time it is not possible.
I have previously used the GoodLife gym membership, as there was significant savings to be had. Sadly, I have found that the travel deals have not been worthwhile as they do not always apply to the pre-existing cheapest prices available.
Due to the nature of the travel industry, we do advise OMA Members to shop around as time sensitive specials are available. The main benefit of the OMA Advantages travel offers is that they are not time sensitive. Offers will be available at the time needed, with very few exceptions. Unfortunately, vendors very rarely allow discounts on already discounted pricing.
Have never heard of OMA advantages. But it definitely sounds like something I want to know more about!
We are constantly working on raising awareness of the member benefits through Advantages with monthly newsletter, OMR ads, push notifications, dedicated emails, and member surveys. Each month the OMA sends out an informative eNewsletter featuring many of the vendor offerings. If you are not receiving this eNewsletter, please reach out to OMA Membership at email@example.com.
