Dr. Sohail Gandhi
Dr. Sohail Gandhi practices family medicine in Stayner, Ontario and has been the Investigating Coroner of Simcoe County since 2001.
A graduate of the University of Toronto, Dr. Gandhi is currently an assistant clinical professor at Queen’s University Medical School and a lecturer in medicine at the University of Toronto. He has held leadership positions at both the OMA and in the community, including Medical Staff Executive and Chief of Family Practice at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, and Chair of the Board of the Georgian Bay Family Health Team.
Dr. Gandhi was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for Dedicated Service to Peers and the Community, and the Award of Excellence from the Ontario College of Family Physicians in 2012.
Dr. Gandhi is the President of the OMA and is the Director of the Section of General and Family Practice. In his spare time, he tries desperately to keep his four sons in line (he’s failing).
