Ontario Medical Student Bursary Fund

Ontario Medical Student Bursary Fund named bursaries were established in memory of a colleague or relative by an individual or group to commemorate a physician’s achievements

Bursaries are worth are $2,000 and go toward supporting students pursuing a specific specialty, or to students originating from a specific area in or outside the province.

The application for 2022-2023 named bursaries is now closed. The named bursary application for the 2023-2024 academic year will open in December 2023.

Confirmation of enrollment in current academic year signed by representative of university admissions office. Letters of acceptance do not qualify as proof of enrollment.

Medical students can apply for multiple bursaries, provided they meet the criteria outlined for each bursary. When completing the online application form, select only the bursaries you qualify for. Please click each named bursary for more details on the criteria required.

The online application form is available annually from late fall to the end of January.

The OMF will notify selected recipients by email by June 30, 2023.
