OntarioMD programs optimize care and practice efficiency
Health-care technologies have changed in recent years – and patient expectations have evolved right along with them. Physicians need to reflect this shift in how they deliver care.
OntarioMD has an important role in facilitating this transition by helping to enhance doctors’ skills and manage workflow through digital health education.
Here are five OMD resources to support you and your team.
OMD offers various upskilling opportunities through its OMD Educates: Digital Health Curriculum, an accredited learning series for clinicians that has trained more than 10,000 participants to date.
The curriculum is offered through two annual conferences. The online OMD Educates: Digital Health Virtual Symposium is held every spring, while the in-person OMD Educates: Digital Health Conference happens every fall.
Conference programs are developed by physicians for physicians and are conducted by OMD peer leaders or subject matter experts. They focus on clinical enhancements using innovative tools and technologies such as AI.
OMD offers two free comprehensive online privacy and security courses for physicians and clinic staff in any care setting. Health-care organizations now require their staff to take the training every year.
The courses are available in English and French and include helpful resources and tools for more in-depth learning. At the end of each course, you'll receive a certificate of completion. Family physicians and specialists can earn 17.25 CME/MOC credits for completing both courses.

The program is a network of physicians and clinic staff who are expert users of OMD-certified EMRs and digital tools that integrate with EMRs. They can help you understand the clinical value of health technology and how to effectively incorporate it into your practice.

The OMD Advisory Service team supports physicians by maximizing the value of their OMD-certified EMRs and other practice technologies.
