Dr. Asuri Prasad

Paediatric neurologist Dr. Asuri Prasad is an expert on epilepsy in children and rare disorders affecting the nervous system.

Dr. Asuri Prasad is a pediatric neurologist at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre. He is also a professor in pediatrics at Western University. He studied at the University of Delhi and completed his training at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research. He completed his MRCP in the UK, and pursued specialty training in neurology at Memorial University of Newfoundland and pediatric neurology at Tufts-New England Medical Center Hospitals.

An esteemed researcher, Dr. Prasad pursued an active academic and research career in addition to his clinical practice. His work has been cited over 1,000 times and he has spoken at scientific meetings in Canada, India, Spain, Japan, Taiwan and Australia. He has also contributed as a reviewer of research manuscripts for several journals, and serves on scientific committees of the American Epilepsy Society and the Canadian Association of Child Neurology. He continues to serve on the publication committee for the Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences.
