OMA Awards Program
The OMA Awards Program recognizes the work of physicians, residents, medical students and community members in Ontario
Since 1921, the OMA Awards program has recognized physicians, residents, medical students, and community leaders for their contributions to the medical profession and health care in Ontario.
In 2023, driven by feedback from award nominators, recipients and the broader OMA membership, the awards program began a significant evolutionary process. This included an enhanced mandate and refreshed membership for a new OMA Awards and Recognition Committee (ARC). The ARC will consider new, and more personalized, ways to recognize the incredible work of our members. We want to ensure our awards program meets the evolving needs of our members.
Nominations for the 2023 OMA awards have been received and the committee will meet in early March. They will recommend 2023 award recipients at the March OMA board meeting for approval. The award recipients will be announced to members this spring.
