Dr. Paul Roumeliotis

Pediatrician Dr. Paul Roumeliotis, or as his patients call him, “Dr. Paul,” is a world-renowned writer and spokesperson on issues related to childhood development.

Pediatrician Dr. Paul Roumeliotis, known by his patients as “Dr. Paul,” earned his medical degree at McGill University and founded the Montreal Children’s Hospital Asthma Centre and Pediatric Consultation Centre. A much sought-after asthma expert, he is the current chair of the Council of Ontario Medical Officers of Health. Dr. Roumeloitis has been the Medical Officer of Health and Chief Executive Officer of the Eastern Ontario Health Unit since January 2007, and Past President of the Association of Local Public Health Agencies. Dr. Roumeliotis has created and produced hundreds of articles, booklets and videos on a wide range of health issues. His highly acclaimed book for parents Baby Come Home focuses on the importance of the first 18 months of life. Dr. Paul also writes the weekly “Health Matters” column in the Cornwall Standard Freeholder and appears biweekly on CTV Ottawa Live’s health segment called “Paging Dr. Paul.”
