It is in the most loving memory and with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Dr. Dawood Gorgui Dawood at Maison d'Hélène in Montmagny, QC.
Dr. Dawood was a specialist in surgery, and in obstetrics and gynecology. During his career that spanned over half a century (55 years) he delivered more than 15,000 babies including his own daughter Mary. He met the love of his life, his wife and the mother of their four children, Nives Weis Dawood, when he settled in Canada in 1970. They were married for 51 years until his passing. He was the best father, a loving and devoted husband, and a caring and dedicated doctor. He was larger than life, with a generous and cheerful disposition. He touched countless lives around the world.
He is survived by his wife Nives Weis Dawood; their children Christine Dawood (Michel Bourdon); Georges Dawood (Shanna Dawood); David Dawood (Marie-Eve Dawood); Mary Dawood Catlin (Thomas Dean Catlin); and their grandchildren Nora Kristine Dawood; Georgia Snow Dawood; Oliver James Dawood; Elliot Georges Dawood; Gwendolyn Maria Dawood; Sebastian Robert Dawood; Jordan Edward Dawood; and Joseph Marcel Dawood. He will forever stay in our hearts and be remembered for the great and the good man he was.
