Dr. Mark Wise

Dr. Mark Wise is the Travel Doctor. As a family medicine physician, Dr. Wise combines his passion for traveling and medicine by advising and treating patients at his travel clinic in Toronto. He has also served as a medical advisor to several non-governmental organizations including CUSO/VSO, Right to Play, Engineers Without Borders, and Journalists for Human Rights. Dr. Wise is also the author of two travel books, contributes to several travel publications and frequently adds advice to his website. He is a former board chair for Canadian Feed the Children and he also delights in volunteering around the globe.

Dr. Wise recently retired after practicing family and travel medicine for 40 years. During that time, he travelled the globe for work and pleasure, advised several international NGOs, wrote two books, volunteered and worked in several medical settings. He continues to teach, study and play piano. Being one himself, he particularly enjoys speaking about medical topics pertinent to seniors.
