Tracy was born in Etobicoke, Ontario to parents Arthur Hamilton Church and Rita (Church) Scott, who, along with Tracy's stepfather Jim Scott, have predeceased her.
She is survived by her son Noah Scott Dempster, brothers David and Paul (Lynda Moffatt) Church and their children and grandchildren.
Tracy exuded grace, love and kindness. She had the ability to make you feel special, seen, and understood whenever you were in her company. This warmth and adoration was especially felt by Noah's friends, to whom she was like a second mother. Tracy had immeasurable love and pride for her son Noah and adored her dogs Smokey and Kenny. They were the joy of her life. She was the best Mom and best friend
to Noah.
As a physician (MD, Ottawa U; FRCP, Dalhousie U; Urogynecology Fellow, McMaster U) Tracy embodied dedication, compassion, humility and skill. Despite her own health setbacks, she had an unwavering commitment to make healthcare better for others.
She will be remembered and missed by Noah (Kaitlyn Bennett), her 'Kumare' Stephanie Connidis, Jeff, godson Kurtis, family, and her many, many dear friends in Halifax, her oasis on Second Peninsula, as well friends and colleagues across the globe.
