Diagnostic radiologist

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Manh (Oct. 29, 1951 – Feb. 12, 2026) at the age of 74. Loved husband of Thanh-Luong (Nguyen), and devoted father of Thien-An. He will be dearly missed by his brother, Dr. Dzung Vu (Kim). He was predeceased by his parents, Duc and Thuy Vu.
Manh, Thanh-Luong, Dzung and Kim were boat people who fled Vietnam as refugees in 1977 following the fall of South Vietnam. After almost a year in a Malaysian refugee camp, Dzung and his family were admitted to Australia, while Manh and Thanh-Luong were accepted by Canada. There, Manh repeated his medical training, specializing in radiology, which he practised until his retirement in 2017. He often joked that he had become a doctor twice.
He was extremely close with his brother, and they had been co-authoring scientific papers and book chapters in medical and archeological publications until as recently as last year.
Manh and his brother had been avid photographers since childhood, an interest he instilled in his son from an early age.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Credit Valley Hospital and Peel Regional Paramedic Services for their devoted and compassionate care.
