Dec. 25, 2025

Dr. Robert Henderson Reid

Dr. Robert (Robin) Reid passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, at London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Campus, surrounded by family.

Born in Lanark, Scotland Robert was the only child of the late Hugh and Margaret Reid (nee Henderson).

Beloved husband of 44 years to Carol, proud father of Jennifer, Robert, David and Pamela. Cherished father-in-law to Todd, Christopher and Sarah. Beloved papa of Braden, Abby, Zack, and Kaleb. Forever missed by several cousins and friends in Scotland.

Robert devoted 50+ years of his life to medicine, specializing in nuclear medicine with an academic interest in the treatment of Neuroendocrine tumors using radioactive isotopes. His passion for helping others - mixed with his endless stories - set him apart in his profession. He was passionate about research initiatives and won several global awards for his involvement in nuclear medicine advancements and global recognition for his contributions in the field.

Beyond his passions in medicine his love of aviation archaeology, wildlife, dogs, and British sports cars was a constant passion he shared (willingly or not) with anyone who would listen.

The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the Palliative Care team at Victoria Hospital for their exceptional care in Robert's final days.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Robert's colleagues in Nuclear Medicine, who became far more than coworkers - you became family. We are forever grateful for your friendship and unwavering support until the very end.

Additional thanks to the staff at Foxhollow for their supportive care.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date and will be live streamed for those who cannot attend in person.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to consider donations to the Humane Society London and Middlesex, The Hub at Community Living London or the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
