OMA announces changes to executive team

Toronto, June 18, 2026—The Board of Directors of the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) today announced a leadership transition, with Kim Moran departing the organization. We would like to thank Kimberly Moran for her contributions and achievements during her tenure as CEO. Dr. Andrew Park, an accomplished health-care leader, emergency physician at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, and a former OMA president, has been appointed interim CEO, effective immediately

Doctors speaking for doctors

Dr. Park steps into the interim CEO role to provide steady, continuous leadership and ensure strong governance alignment. His appointment reinforces the OMA’s core philosophy of “doctors speaking for doctors,” keeping its 50,000 members firmly at the centre of everything the organization does.

Dr. Park trained at the University of Toronto's medical school, completed his residency at Queen's University, and holds emergency medicine certification from Dalhousie. He is also an adjunct professor at Western's Schulich School of Medicine, where he developed a course on emotional intelligence and leadership for resident physicians, and holds an executive MBA and a master's degree in adult education.

Immediate framework and transition strategy

Dr. Park’s immediate framework is to safeguard the OMA’s advocacy for its members, align operations during this transition and ensure the organization pursues the priorities that matter most to doctors.

Looking to the future

Success during this transition means keeping the OMA focused on the needs of doctors, ensuring there are no disruptions to the operations of the organization, while actively developing a clear, long-term leadership plan.
